You can book by clicking on the "Book Now" link above. For booking a shoot on location, I take a 50% deposit which can be paid through Paypal, credit card, or a hand-delivered check.
I shoot by appointment only. A few weeks' notice is usually enough to book. I do take same-week and even same-day appointments, when available.
I shoot in and around my studio in Oakland as well as on location across the country.
For location shoots, I require at least one weeks' notice for a refund on your deposit. I ask 96 hours' notice for shoots at the studio. Any less than that and your card will be charged $150. You may put $50 of that towards a future shoot.
Each package has an estimated time listed at the bottom including the consult at the beginning and the proofing. For corporate shoots of an office, it takes 30 minutes to setup, then 7 minutes per person. If there is a limited timeframe, more can be shot in less time, but an assistant is required for the shoot. It also takes about 30 minutes to tear down.
I recommend wearing items you feel the most comfortable and confident in. I recommend wearing jewel tones and fitted clothing. Bring at least a couple of extra outfits past the number in your package. Then together we’ll pick out what works best for the shoot. Avoid busy patterns or textures, graphics as well as solid blacks or whites. If there are multiple people in the shoot, I recommend wearing similar tones and styles, but try to steer clear of identical outfits.
You get to see the rough images right away! If you shoot in or around the studio, you will sit down with me in the studio immediately following the shoot and pick which images you want retouched. If you shoot on location, you will be able to proof online.
Finished images from most shoots are usually ready within days, depending on the quantity of images ordered. If you need them sooner, let me know and I can often accommodate your needs.
My studio is located in the Jack London Warehouse District of Oakland which is very much city street parking. While it's usually easy to find 2 hour metered parking, sometimes there is 4 hour free parking, you just may have to walk a block or two. There is always paid parking available at the garage on 2nd and Harrison.
